When you throw in 2 special boys + authentic New Orleans cajun cooked mudbugs + absolutely divine weather = one heck of a party.

Father and son were able to celebrate among TONS of family, friends, dino cake, ice cold beer, and an inflatable kid corral.

300+ photos were evidence that it was a great time or I had one too many coronas…

If I were to award Granparent emotion of the year, it would be to Tony. I love this picture!!!

With about 20+ kids attending; I was able to absorb and take in the multitudes of edible cheeks and thickly lashed doe eyes.

Lastly, our chunk met his match. I’m pretty sure the rockin’ tee intimated him. At the end we were well acquainted with each other’s drool dripping plugs. We’ve already decided that with the harem, (see lovely lashes above), that Braden has accumulated he’ll need a good wing man for when they wreck havoc at aTm. Either that or they’re destined to be USA’s next bobsled gold contenders… we’ll see ;-P

New things are beginning for this family. Momma got a brand new toy which meant lots, and lots of NEW photos. Baby Dirvish is fixin’ to find out what a NEW life is without his ‘hush button’. MaryAnn recieved some NEW shoes, thanks to her fab fam in Cali. Daddy found a NEW obstacle to climb.

You see that? So my eldest might have been disappointed in her rock collection for Christmas but the little guy is enthralled with Momma’s rock hammer. But there is still hope, she is in love with Mom’s dino movies. (Or maybe it’s just because they’re movies….)

Something else that is new… A bit more dramatic. A bit more edge. A bit more grunge. We’ve found new loves.

Finding that working with a little faux light every once in awhile will satisfy my nightime ‘sun flare’.

Variances in OCF for me and a clast of mortar and rock for Dad.

Mary Pearl and I are first cousins and have been whirling around since we were hiking Enchanted Rock and swimming bare in the Frio during our younger summers. Mary Pearl grew up in central Florida but would make the trek to Texas each summer to spend with our grandparents in Uvalde. My sisters and I would always meet up and discover hidden lore in our grandmother’s library or secretly wish for Honey Coot’s money rubber band ball. Our cousin memories are endless and pricked by rough love but blanketed in family bond.

I couldn’t resist myself and I am very, very thankful that MP and Josh amused; but when does an artist have a family cemetery, a glowing pregnant bride, and perfect weather? Let’s try never unless you stage the scene. Thank you for seeing the beauty. Here are a few.

Bluebonnets and bare booties have now been replaced… Our princess is growing up and becoming a gem. Time to change the stationary and the frames in the house.

Yes my beebee will be that kind of little boy. The one that constantly has a mohawk, temporary tattoos, graphic grunge tees, and sports DC shoes. We’ll give crewcuts pretty boy a whole new meaning…

I think ‘Toxic Tounges’ got their newest lead singer… whatcha think?

All girls must pass through publicist from hell aka Momma.

I noticed that I’ve taken my OBSESSION with sun flare to a whole new level. But given that I usually go 150 million % on everything it doesn’t surprise me that it’s in almost every picture. Refer to entire post about Bodacious bokeh.
