Kisses from Dad

Reddish hair

Grey-turning blue eyes

Our little runt
5 lbs 12 ounces, 18.5 inches, ten fingers, ten toes, and one melted momma.
He was welcomed by his Momma and Daddy 25 Nov 2008 at 8:31 am.
I was scheduled to go in for an induction and when I was admitted little did I know the sharp pains that had ensued for most of the night were full scale contractions. The little guy needed no prompting for his arrival, he had planned coming all along.
Big sister MaryAnn is beyond excited and a little confused at his eating habits but she’s making a great adjustment to being our little helper for HER prince charming.
Admist the millions of photos I have taken and have planned, I’ll do my best to fill the numerous requests for more pictures. But, for now, this will have to do… I have a date with my new beau.

A little birdie told me today that I WILL be : busy + tired + grouchy + hungry– over the next few days. These next ‘few days’ of course encompasses the holiday so, I’m gathering that I will not be able to post our traditional/cheesy ‘Happy Thanksgiving Love the Jones” shot… so here is a wish for you early.
XOXO

Holidays are a little different this year… Everyone is ‘tightening the belt’ a bit and routines are changing… But this is when I think about how blessed I really am. Not only do Shae and I have a wonderful, healthy daughter and a soon to be newborn baby boy; we have a network of family beyond what we could have ever asked for.
So, thank you to the family that will read this and please know how much you mean to us. Even in our weird and obtuse ways of saying it… we love you and don’t know what we’d do without the foundation of your love.

The furry part of our family… Kane, Vega, and Karma.

Well due to complications last Thursday, I’ve been pretty much put on ‘house arrest’ for the next two weeks. So we caught up on fixing up the nursery and getting in all the extra lazy ‘Z’s that will be scarce once Trace is here. The weather was too beautiful though to sit inside ALL day so catching up on chores was also a must do…

(Christina: I pushed the iso down low to 200 and the apeture is at 1.4)
A stray pic that I forgot to add… Grandpa Dino and MaryAnn Halloween weekend.

(Christina: To be able to have some clarity I pushed the ISO up to 450 and that’s why its grainy and the ones above are not.)

The other night MaryAnn disappeared for a few minutes and after wondering ‘why is it so quiet in the kitchen’ I get up to go investigate. She had transformed our lower half of the fridge into princess domain. I laughed and noticed how our once empty, bland fridge had become a art piece all on its own.
Gone are the days where crazy college pics and roommate bill notices hang among the magnets; it now proudly boasts our little girls artwork and the magentized singing (yes singing) alphabet. The chip clips that use to actually secure the opened Doritos bag are the snaps that hold up the recreations of Momma, Daddy, and MaryAnn along with other various school art. It actually made me smile to know that I have phased into this part of my life and now we get to look forward to Trace’s artwork adorning the kitchen fridge as well. Do they make magenitized GI Joes???
